FAQ
The Facility
🕐
How does 24/7 access work?
+

Members book tee times through the Back Nine app or online portal — any time of day or night, any day of the week including holidays. When your tee time starts, access is granted via a link sent directly to your phone or through the app itself. Tap it and you're in — no key fob, no staff, no waiting.

Public (non-member) tee times are available 7am to 10pm. Members enjoy full 24/7 access with no restrictions.

We have members who come at 6am before work, 11pm after the kids are in bed, and everywhere in between. It's yours whenever you want it.
🍕
Can I bring food and drinks?
+

We welcome outside food and drink and have a full BYOB policy — we even have fridge space available to keep your drinks cold while you play.

We also have a variety of drinks and snacks available on-site. The one thing we don't do is serve alcohol ourselves, but you're more than welcome to bring your own.

👨‍👩‍👧
Is this good for families?
+

Yes — all ages can enjoy The Back Nine. Whether you're introducing your kids to golf for the first time or looking for something fun the whole family can do together, it works at every skill level.

And because our bays are private and fully sound-insulated, you get your own space to laugh, compete, and enjoy the experience without worrying about bothering anyone — or anyone bothering you.

Your bay, your vibe. No strangers, no distractions, just your group having a good time.
👥
Can I bring a guest to the demo?
+

Absolutely — bring whoever you'd want to play with. Spouse, friend, coworker, whoever. The more the merrier.

Seeing it together often makes the decision easier, and it gives you a better sense of how you'd actually use the membership together.

If you're thinking about the Birdie or Eagle tier, bringing someone along to the demo is a great idea — you'll see firsthand how the guest experience works.

📈
Will this actually improve my game?
+

The honest answer: it depends on your practice habits — but the tools are there to make real improvement almost inevitable if you use them consistently.

Having the ability to gauge shots accurately, see your club path, watch club head impact, and dial in your shot dispersion chart gives you a level of feedback that most golfers never get. You're not just hitting balls — you're actually understanding what your swing is doing.

It's not uncommon for members to tell us they're down 2-5 strokes since joining — because they're finally able to practice and play consistently, and they can see what needs fixing.

Consistent practice with accurate feedback beats occasional rounds on a real course for improvement, almost every time.
Is this actually good for beginners?
+

Absolutely. A few things make The Back Nine particularly welcoming if you're just getting started:

There's no pressure — private bays mean it's just you and whoever you bring. No strangers watching, no pace-of-play stress, no feeling like you're holding up the group behind you.

The simulator gives you instant feedback on every shot — club path, face angle, ball speed, carry distance. Most beginners spend years not understanding why the ball goes where it goes. Here, you can see it immediately.

And you can repeat shots as many times as you want. Hit the same 7-iron until it clicks. That kind of focused repetition is hard to get on a real course.

Many of our members started with little to no golf experience. The Back Nine is a comfortable place to learn at your own pace.
🎯
How accurate is the simulator?
+

We use Full Swing Golf simulators — the same technology used by PGA Tour professionals. High-speed cameras track your club head and ball from impact through flight, measuring club speed, ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, shot shape, and carry distance in real time.

It's not a video game approximation. The physics engine replicates real ball flight — wind, elevation, course conditions — as accurately as current technology allows.

Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and dozens of Tour pros use Full Swing simulators for off-season training. Same tech, your tee time.
🌍
What courses are available?
+

Over 100 world-famous courses are available, including Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, all the TPC courses, Torrey Pines, and more.

And here's something exclusive — you can play the TGL courses only at The Back Nine. TGL is Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy's tech-driven golf league, and we're one of the only places in the world you can play those courses outside the league itself.

You can also hit the driving range, play closest-to-the-pin challenges, or use skills assessment modes to dial in specific parts of your game.

⏱️
How long does it take to play 18 holes?
+

Solo, you can knock out 18 holes in 45 minutes to an hour — no waiting on other groups, no slow play.

With multiple people it takes a bit longer depending on group size and pace, but it's still a fraction of a real round. You can also play 9 holes, do a skills challenge, or just hit the range — you're not locked into a full round. It's your time, use it however you want.

Most members mix it up — a few holes one session, range work the next. There's no "right" way to use your tee time.

What's the difference between the membership tiers?

Three tiers, each built around how much time and flexibility you want:

🕝 2.5-hour tee times

🏆 All tournament perks
The biggest difference is time in the bay and how many people you can bring. We'll help you pick the right fit at your demo.
💰
How does pricing work?
+

Memberships are billed monthly or annually depending on your preference. Pricing adjusts based on your commitment level — month-to-month, a 12-month agreement paid monthly, or an annual membership paid upfront all come in at different rates.

Overall, memberships range between $155 and $375/month depending on the tier and payment structure you choose.

We'll walk through the exact numbers at your demo so you can find what fits your situation best.

🚪
Can I cancel anytime?
+

Yes — we offer both month-to-month and annual membership options.

Month-to-month gives you full flexibility to cancel with standard notice. Annual memberships lock in a better monthly rate in exchange for the commitment.

We'll walk through both options at your demo so you can choose what makes sense for your situation. There's no pressure to commit to something that doesn't fit.
